What the Hell are Carling on About?

TV adverts are developed by “creative” media types in London agencies. They have brainstorming sessions and create mood boards for hours on end in order to discover the “truth” behind a product.

After several weeks of development time (at the client’s expense of course) they will produce their great idea. The trouble is that they have spent so much time getting to the truth, that they forget that an advert should have some sort of connection to the customer.

What the hell is Carling’s Belong campaign all about? Why would watching a load of birds flying around make me fancy a lager? Or the explorer one? Strange.In the good old days, their adverts were fantastic.
